CHISWICK PARK CAMPUS
SALARY: UP TO £42,000 PER ANNUM PLUS EXCELLENT BENEFITS
Richmond American University London is seeking an ambitious, commercially minded and internationally focused Business Development & Institutional Assessment Specialist (International) to join the President's Office.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the University, supporting both the development of strategic international partnerships and the University’s senior leadership team on key institutional priorities. Reporting directly to the President and Vice-Chancellor, the role combines business development (60%) with strategic research, institutional assessment and University Board support (40%).
The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and developing new partnership and income-generating opportunities, with a particular focus on China and Chinese-speaking markets. You will build and manage relationships with partner institutions, agents and organisations, support partnership negotiations and develop business cases, market analysis and proposals that contribute to the University's strategic growth.
Alongside this, you will provide high-quality research, analysis and briefing papers to support decision-making by the President's Office and University Board. Working closely with colleagues across the institution, you will contribute to strategic planning, partnership due diligence, institutional projects and the monitoring of key organisational priorities.
This is an exciting and highly visible role for someone who enjoys working across multiple disciplines and interacting with senior stakeholders in an international environment. You will be professionally fluent in both Chinese and English, with experience working in both the UK and China. You will bring excellent relationship-building, analytical and communication skills, alongside a strong understanding of Chinese educational, business and cultural contexts.
The ideal candidate will have experience in business development, partnerships, international education, client-facing or stakeholder engagement roles. Experience within higher education or international education is desirable, but we welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate strong commercial acumen, cultural awareness and an ability to build successful international relationships.
The role is based at our Chiswick Park campus, with hybrid working available. Occasional international travel, including travel to China, and occasional evening or weekend work to support delegations and events will be required.
